The lemon and sugar piles are mounting, the yellow fair volunteer forms are continuing to come in, the storage shed is gaining supplies, the sponsors are being sought... it's all go and will continue to be as we build momentum toward our Secret Garden Fair, Sunday 8 November. For those of you new to the school, this is THE place to be in Wellington.

It cannot happen without a motivated, energetic, thoughtful, committed parent community.  (This list could go on......)

The children need you!

We are wanting to provide our children with as many rich learning opportunities as possible. Through your hard work with fundraising in 2014, we have been able to:
  • Double the amount of Chrome Books, increase the number of iPads and improve technology infrastructure across the school.
  • Increase the size of our teaching and support staff team.
  • Provide quality and multi dimensional professional learning and development for our teachers.
  • Progress the outdoor learning plan.
Please email Sarah Wells if you can help outsarahwells@vodafone.co.nz

Thanks to all of you who made it to the Brainstorming Session on Tuesday night around the new build. I went home buzzing.  Yes, it's exciting, yes, it's a terrific opportunity... yes, it's not straight forward by any means. The energy was contagious, the conversation stimulating and a fabulous initial discussion. For me, it was having the teachers, parents and Board all there speaking the same language, wanting the same outcome, that really gave me the buzz!

We can do it!

"Life is too short to be in a hurry."

But we do have a timeframe and a great opportunity - the need to continue to put the foot on the fundraising accelerator is strong.
