Be involved

Worser Bay is a community school. We encourage collaboration in our creative approach to learning, inviting special guests and parent experts to enhance the learning experience for our students. There are plenty of ways to be involved at Worser Bay either in the learning environment or through the many fundraising events.

Fair of Legends  -  Sunday 12 November  11am - 2pm  Rain or Shine

ParentNet email dated 17 October 17

Firstly, a HUGE thanks to all of you who have jumped on and offered your assistance on our Volunteer Form for our Fabulous School Fair. However, we still have some BIG gaps and we need all families involved if possible. SO if you haven't already please jump on now and pop your name next to a stall - in particular we need more people to sizzle sausages, work the pizza ovens, help out with rapid raffles, and to fill up our various food stalls. We would LOVE you to do this ASAP as we need to make sure we can make all these stalls happen!

Fair Volunteer Form

You will have now received your Running of the Ball Tickets. Please can you ensure you have all your sold tickets returned to the Office by Friday the 27th of October.

We have our next Donations Drop Off/Sorting Day coming up this Sunday 22nd October between 10.00-12.00 and we need all hands on board. Please bring all donations (excluding White Elephant Items (e.g. homewares etc ...) to the Shed at the back of the School between these hours. We also need as many hands on board as possible between these hours to help sort and price these donations. So please if you can come along and help us out do - the more we have the easier and more efficient it is!

Thanks in advance and look forward to seeing lots of you there!

Parent Net and the Fair Team.

We have fantastic fundraising support from our community at Worser Bay. As a decile 10 school, the government limits the funds available to us. Fundraising is, therefore, essential if we are to provide a rounded learning experience for our students. Volunteers help in numerous ways, from running sausage sizzles to contributing items to the fair. If you would like to be involved, please contact your ParentNet representative.

Our Fundraising at WBS document outlines our objectives for fundraising events, including roles and responsibilities. The process for adding or changing events is outlined here: Template for New Fundraising Activities

This diagram provides a visual illustration of the vital role that fundraising plays in balancing the school’s books.

Parent Experts

We all have skills and talents to share, whether in sport, craft, science or music. We welcome parent experts into our learning environment. Children relish the knowledge building opportunities and collaborative insights these visits provide. Talk to the teachers about sharing your skills with us.
